The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 9.7-inch tablet has received positive reviews for its vibrant and crisp 2048 x 1536 AMOLED display, its included S Pen, its snappy performance, the quad speakers, and its solid battery life. Users also liked the light design and the USB-C with fast charging capabilities. The tablet is also HDR-ready. However, although the Galaxy Tab 3 is fast, it does still use 2016’s Snapdragon 820. Some also thought that there should be an included slot to store the S Pen, but this only comes with the keyboard, which is sold separately and is rather expensive. For the price of the tablet, the 32GB of internal storage is also rather slim. Regardless of the older processor, the Galaxy Tab S3 is still a workhorse and comes with a free S Pen, and the quad speakers is an additional bonus that provides good quality sound.

Samsung packs buzz-worthy features like S Pen and HDR support into its new premium Galaxy Tab S3, but without a keyboard packed in, it's still more about content consumption than creation.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 is the best Android tablet to date, headlined by an HDR-ready screen, four powerful speakers and an upgraded S Pen that’s included in the box, although you’re going to have to pay for the keyboard. Just don’t expect to see much HDR video content right away, or have Android meet all of your 2-in-1 tablet needs next to a similarly priced laptop.

The Galaxy Tab S3 is a mixture of the very best and the very worst of Samsung’s industrial design. It’s thinner than an iPhone 7, with a flat back and slightly curved sides that make it a pleasure to hold. Weighing in at just 429g it's also noticeably lighter than the latest iteration of the regular iPad.
