Pros

  • More screen real estate
  • Lightweight
  • Waterproof (IPX8)

Cons

  • Backlighting uneven
  • Library not as populated as Amazon’s

Bottom Line

The Aura ONE offers users a larger screen and the same waterproofing as the Aura H20, however, Kindle still has a larger selection of books.

The Kobo Aura ONE e-reader has received positive reviews for its large 7.8-inch screen size, its lightweight design and portability, and its plentiful customization options. Users also liked its lighting settings and its IPX8 rating waterproof design. However, there was some criticism directed towards the fact that the background color lighting can be uneven at times. Furthermore, it does not come with a library as populated as the Kindle. However, the Kobo Aura ONE has satisfied most of those who own one even with this drawback.
