The Amazon Kindle Oasis is a 2016 e-reader that has been raved about by users and critics alike. Its tapered and lightweight design makes it extremely comfortable to handle. The long battery life, glare-free e-ink display, and touchscreen pretty much come standard in all recent Kindles, but now the Oasis includes physical page-turn buttons and a leather case with a built-in backup battery. The Kindle Oasis has one glaring flaw, however: Its price. With some configurations costing over $350, you would think it’d at least display color.
Pros
- High-resolution screen
- Lightweight
- Extremely thin
- Physical page-turn buttons
- Unbelievable battery life
- Backlit screen
- 3G connectivity
Cons
- Expensive
- Average performance
- Monochrome
Bottom Line
The Amazon Kindle Oasis is hands down the best e-reader you can buy today if you can afford it, that is.
- Weight: 0.28 lbs
- Display Size: 6 inch
- Operating System: Fire OS 5
- Battery Life: 36 hours

The Amazon Kindle Oasis is the best experience money can buy when it comes to reading electronic tomes. The main problem lies in how much money you have to part with to let that happen, and its high price is likely to scare some off.
