The Barnes & Noble NOOK is bestselling 2011 tablet that received generally positive reviews as a basic tablet. Reviewers praised the tablet for it’s low price point as well as a vibrant display well suited to media consumption and a responsive touchscreen. Some reviewers were critical of a limited amount of Apps, with no full access to the Android App store available, as well as some UI and interface issues including no horizontal view for apps. Reviewers and users had mixed feelings over the tablets design. Many cited the NOOK is the natural evolution of a colour e-reader merged into a tablet.
