  • Elegant design
  • Vibrant and rich display

  • Poor audio
  • No full size USB port
  • Micro-HDMI

Bottom Line

While stylish and portable the lack of a full-size USB port makes this device lose points in the connectivity department and the audio leaves much to be desired.

The ASUS Transformer Book Chi T300CHI-F1-DB is a bestselling 2015 12.5-inch convertible laptop that received positive reviews for its elegant design, vibrant display, detachable Bluetooth keyboard, and longer battery life than its siblings. However, its audio and battery life are underwhelming compared to competitors, and there is no full-size USB port. All in all the T300CHI-F1-DB is a solidly built convertible offering you the power of a Windows notebook and the convenience of a tablet. It looks like a premium machine but carries a small price tag, and can meet most of the needs of a basic user.

The $699 Transformer Book T300 Chi is the better version of Asus' two tablet-laptop hybrids, but its battery life is still a little underwhelming.

Starting life as a line of Android tablets with clever folding keyboard docks, the Asus Transformer range has since morphed and expanded to now include models that run Windows, creating an even more laptop-like experience.
