The Amazon Kindle Paperwhite 2013 edition is an e-reader tablet that received universal acclaim for numerous improvements over it’s predecessor (the previous Paperwhite) making this the number one e-reader to beat in it’s price range. Highlights include snappy performance, a bright display and access to Amazon’s massive library of content, the scope of which has almost zero competition. It received some criticism for in-built ads (cost of $20 to remove), lack of an audio port for audiobooks and no expandable memory slot, although still remains the most highly rated e-reader currently on the market.

While the "all-new" Paperwhite may seem like an unspectacular upgrade on the surface, it's a clear improvement over the original Paperwhite and arguably the best e-reader currently available.
